Yes, fatal shows that the omlicmon program is crashing with a segmentation fault. See http://heartofgold.dnsalias.com/fatal for a copy of the log.

I'm willing to pay for support on this if that's what needs to be done to get some help.

Having the same error between Fedora and Debian would seem like an incompatibility between a hardware driver in the machine... or an incorrect network setting that I'm overlooking and isn't being reported in the error logs or something.

I've run strace on omlicmon but I'm not a programmer and other than a lot of impressive looking output I have no idea what to do with the information I'm being given.

I've setup a Fedora Core 4 test system here in my office and followed the same procedure I'm using on the offsite server to do a network upgrade to Fedora Core 5 and then install Scalix. My system here works great- but my offsite simply will not run the omlicmon program. I've been able to "reconfigure" all other modules without any problems- but being unable to create the admin or any other users renders the system useless.

Because we're in such a remote area of the US getting a high outgoing bandwidth connection (we only have aDSL available to us here) to host our own local machine is out of the question. If anyone can suggest another hosting company that they've been able to get Scalix working with or has any other suggestions I'd be grateful.

Thanks,

Tim

Wow, that is strange. What is the hardware? 64 Bit?

To pay for the support, just email support@scalix.com and go from there.

Thanks for the info Shedder!

Before I email support, the server is running on a 64bit AMD processor- but I'm using the 32bit only version of Fedora. Do you know of an incompatibility with the 64bit processors that could cause this problem?

Thanks,

Tim

I had seen some issues with installing Scalix on a 64-bit OS, but I don't think there is anything wrong with installing Scalix on a 32-bit OS on a 64-bit processor.

Sorry if I got your hopes up,
Shredder

Actually Shredder, it turns out that it did need to be on the 64bit version of Fedora. I reinstalled and tried again and it came right up without a hitch!

Thanks for all your help!

Tim
