imap-webmail-outlook connect problem after restore

After my system drive crashed on my new Scalix server, I restored it and have run into some problems. We can get email thru POP3 but imap-webmail and Outlook connect won't work. Error on screen says "invalid user id or password.

I get this error on every user.

On the original server I had a system drive and a separate RAID 1 mirrored set for the /var. When replaced the system drive I couldn't get SUSE10 OSS to accept the RAID as mount point /var so I put everything on the new system drive. I then mounted the RAID as /scalix. I copied the old var/opt/scalix folder to the new /var/opt/scalix folder. I reinstalled Scalix 10 Enterprise and it found the old message store under /var/opt/scalix.

I could then login to SAC with my usual admin privileges. I found 1 corrupt message in one users mail box and deleted it through the SAC.

To close this thread...

The problem was a permissions error on /var/opt/scalix/dblogs. The directory should be owned by scalix:scalix and have rwxrwx--- (770) permissions.

The cause was a missing -p switch from the cp command used to restore the files.
