All of a sudden cannot login via sac or webmail ?

Hi All
Been running Ver 10 ok since release (on RHES4), as of today I can not login to the sac or to webmail ? No error just invalid username or password (on either screen) though I know them to be ok and have worked up till now ?
So no user can access webmail and I cannot login to sac (using the sxadmin@server.domain and password)

Users still access Scalix ok via Outlook and the connector and send and recieve. One user with Outlook and no connector (imap) can not login

In /var/log messages I also see ? dont know if its releated

Hi,

have a look at the Tomcat logs. Also worth checking is ps -ef| grep omlicmon

The logs are located in /opt/scalix-tomcat/logs.

Had a look there and no errors ?

Its odd, I gona see if I can restart the server later (I have restarted scalix but still the same )

I figure tomcat running ok,(have restarted it) I get the login, but it will not accept any passwords.same in sac ?

I am off the client site now, access via http, getting same issue

For failed SAC logins there will be a log entry in /opt/scalix-tomcat/logs/caa.log, for failed SWA logins there will be one in scalix-swa....log in the same directory. This is a direct consequence of the error you see.

Have you changed your server's hostname?

In addition, please try to omlogon -h localhost -u <lastname> -p <password> from the command line; should this work, the problem is most certainly somewhere in the tomcat stack.

Hi Thanks for the help ..
Indeed I think it was a tomcat issue..
Though restarting tomcat \ scalix had made no difference

After re-starting the server all seems ok again ?
Odd .. though as long as it is working I am happy

Maybe it was your license manager process not running; we had a few cases of the license manager not coming up during the first server start after a scalix 10 upgrade.

You can see the status of the license manager process by looking at omstat -a output.
