Sendmail Archive?

Hey Com,

iam searching for the sendmail / Delivered Mail Cache and also a way to clear him?
i need to send mail again whenenver i want.
Could someone please help, i couldn´t find something in the AdminGuide and got lost in the forum. :O

I think you are not getting replies because your question is not clear.

sendmail is a separate product from Scalix. It doesn't keep a cache of sent messages.

Scalix can keep a log of messages it has sent (if you enable audit logging) but it does not keep a copy of every message sent.

You can enable message archiving, which will keep a copy of every message that goes through your server. You can have the messages saved to disk (not a good idea; too much I/O and consumes too much space), sent to a BCC: recipient (not a good idea, for the same reasons), or sent to a separate host on a port of your choosing (25 by default).

The separate host should be running archival software from a third party. Archival software varies greatly in number of features and cost. Many of them do have a resubmit capability.

Thx for the Answer.
Its the problem the archives are activates, so i can sendmails again with sendmail -bs but this is not possible with the newest mails in archive.
And in an other topic i read something about that there is a cache which holds the mails for some time and in this time they can´t be send again.
Hope you guys got my point =(

It is not really clear what you are trying to do.
You are using Scalix right?

What are you trying to do and what part fails.

If the language (English) is a struggle, maybe you can try to find some local support, where are you from?

Hey thx for the rply,
i use scalix the fact is if some mails are missing or something i want to send them with sendmail -bs again but there a cache whichs stops me to send them from the last days.
if i send older mail from the archive its working .

hi,

reason for the this is the message cache.
i have no idea which was exactly the option in general.cfg to change the value.

but you can try to change the message-id and sent it again.
