SmartCache icon

Could someone point me to the documentation that explains the specific meaning behind the different colours and symbols the smartcache icon can take?

We got red with arrows, green check mark, red exclamation point. Those are pretty obvious.
But the green X, and red X and different grays...
I can't find a list that tells me exactly what each means, and I'd love to know.
