SSL Support for https connections + Javascript errors

Postby MDAFederal » Fri Feb 10, 2006 3:16 pm

I have installed the trial version of your Scalix Enterprise Server and am very happy with this currently. After beating my head against a wall trying to install SunONE Messaging Server, this was a breeze! I have been able to send messages, configure users, and worked with the calendaring. There are two issues that I am trying to find out that would be very beneficial in moving forward with this test.

I am curious about setting up SSL so that I can connect via the web interface over https. Is there any way or a recommended way to do this? We have this setup with our current webmail (Iplanet 5.2) and would want that ability to be enabled before purchasing and going live.

Also, one of our test users is receiving a message concerning javascript in the mail messages. This error is coming up in IE and is probably a flag in the security settings, but we have yet to find where it was at. Do you have any ideas?

Thanks in advance,
Scott

For this the recommended way is to use apache together with mod_jk and mod_ssh - the knowledgebase has an article on that. Thing is, that not all supported distributions have mod_jk in their repository. Scalix 10 due to be released on Tuesday is said to include mod_jk though.
