Dependancy Check Failed

Postby jillrae » Tue Oct 07, 2008 10:03 am

I have the following:

Suse Enterprise 10
Trying to install Scalix 11.4.2 (new install)

Am using the command ./scalix-installer --instance=linux --hostname=linux.mydomain.com

I get the following dependancy check error:

Operation failed: Network check failed--[ERRNO 2] No such file or directory: '/etc/sysconfig/network/ifcfg-eth0:-id-00:1e:4f:15:9c:90'

The server has a "real" name of nodea.mydomain.com and a "real" ip address of 192.168.0.10

I have a virtual ip address of 192.168.0.6 with the hostname & instance name as above.

When I run the command ip addr show It shows both ip addresses bound to the eth0 interface

evms is running and the iSCSI device is mounted correctly to /var/opt/scalix/lx/

I not sure if the dependacy check is looking for another sysconfig.network file for the virtual IP address????

Thanks for any insight.

After searching the Scalix forms for and not finding this exact error, I Googled it. Burried on the third page was a post that said just go to the directory and create a file with the same name as it wants and put the one line

onboot=no

I re-ran the installer and it passed the Network check.
