Can Scalix handle Multiple Domains?

Postby jferrara » Mon Jan 30, 2006 10:41 am

Is it possible to run multiple domains on one scalix server. The number of users in each is only a couple of dozen. Each entiy would need to see only it's members in the system address book. Is it possible?

Thanks

Hello,

yes, it is possible. Internet domains can be enumerated in

/etc/opt/scalix/caa/scalix.res/config/ubermanager.properties

in line ubermanager.console.localDomains=

just add them comma separated. This will allow SAC to list the domains when adding users. Tomcat needs to be restarted to pick it up.

As for the separation of the System addressbook,[edited typo] that is currently not possible.

Cheers,

Sascha.

What is the sequence to creating a second domain

If I am adding a second domain do I first create the mailnode and then make the change to the ubermanager.properties config file? Are there directions that outline this procedure?

Thanks
Joe

Hi,

no need to add a second mail node. If you look at the ubermanager.properties file you will see this is very straightforward.

Cheers,

Sascha.
