problem: cannot delete user

hello,

i cannot delete a user in the scalix admin interface...

i have created some users 2 times.. now i cant change anything or delete these users..

after changeing some.. i get an error: cant delete user: because i want to use a name thats already in use. (some like taht)

hello,

ok: here have some useres 2 mail domains... i did wrong added these users 2 times and did not the right way by add these user only one times and thene get him the second mail domain in the admin menue...

so now i have 4 users 2 times with same name.. and i have manualy changed the email adress domain...
(added user + same name + removed the regular email domain and write manualy the 2nd one in the mail adress field)

so now i cant delete or modify these users...

and for the right error messege .. its in german.

Konnte nicht löschen: USERNAME . Benutzer konnte nicht aktualisiert werden, weil versucht wurde, einen berreits vorhandenen Namen zu verwenden.

OK, fuehren Sie folgende Befehle in der shell aus:

omshowu -m all

[Liste aller user kommt]

omdelu username

Das fuer die vier Benutzer machen.

Falls die Benutzter bereits Mail erhalten haben, dass nicht geloescht werden soll, muessen wir das anders machen.

ja die user haben berreits mail erhalten... aber nichts wichtiges... ich hab auch schon ueber outlook alles in eine .pst gespeichert...

also wenn es möglich wäre das komplette löschen des postfachs zu umgehen wäre das auch gut.

Hallo,

der username wird entweder mit Parameter -n "Vor Nach/mailnode" angegeben oder ohne Parameter, z.B. omdelu nachname (man omdelu)

ich bin jetzt ne menge möglichkeiten durchgegangen.. aber konnte die user leider nicht löschen.

in der man stand auch was das man es ueber die authentication id löschen kann...

wie findet man diese raus??..

oder was genau ist damit gemeint omdelu -n 'Chris Wolf/ny,hq,mis'

alles ist klar bis auf den teil ny,hq,mis'

Damit ist der mail node gemeint, in Ihrem Fall gbg-worms.

omshowu zeigt die authid an. Also omshowu nachname zeigt den user an.

This may be considered a dual post but I speak a little german and this is the same problems I'm getting.

omdelu -n 'Robin Watson/mail,banks'

returns the name given is ambiguous.

I've done a lot of omshowu and everything looks identical for these users.

AAAAHHHH...wish my german was better.

Kein Problem!

To list all users on the mailnode, use omshowu -m all. Then, take the output of this list and see which user you want to delete. Copy and paste the name to form a command like


First6505 Last6505 /eta,uk/CN=First6505 Last6505
First6506 Last6506 /eta,uk/CN=First6506 Last6506
First6507 Last6507 /eta,uk/CN=First6507 Last6507

ssiekmann@eta:~> omdelu -n "First6505 Last6505 /eta,uk"
omdelu: One user successfully deleted
