Calendar sync Exchange<->SCALIX

Postby Marcus.Becker » Tue Mar 04, 2008 5:03 am

Hello!
I posted a question about this issue back in August 07. Although noone answered, I'm still hoping to receive information regarding my problem.
Which is:
We are using a CE server (11.2.) on the internet as a means for accessing emails normally being sent only to local Exchange accounts. So customers can access their emails from any point in the world.
The customer surely likes the SCALIX webinterface. And now there's the request:
"Give me the possibility to access my calendar entries from the SCALIX account."
Currently the emails are simply forwarded to an account on the SCALIX machine. Invitations (because they are emails) are seen on the SCALIX calendar. But what if I invite someone using my Exchange account? Customer would love to see that on the SCALIX account too.
Unfortunately I'm neither an EXchange nor an SCALIX expert.
So my question is:
Is there any way (different SCALIX-server, third-party software, configuration tweak)
to syncronize calendar entries between Exchange and SCALIX?
Any reply highly appreciated...

I don't know of any "automated" way to sync that data. Imapsync cannot do special folders. Manually you could export/ import pst's etc, but that's not practical.

Why not just migrate fully to Scalix? Do you have any reason to hang onto Exchange?

Thank you for your reply, Les.

Unfortunately a complete migration to SCALIX is beyond any consideration. If I were in charge though...

As I will have to communicate your reply to my boss: Am I right in assuming that you're a SCALIX employee with sufficient expertise on that topic? So that I could tell the customer that SCALIX said there's no known way to implement this?

Regards
Marcus

I don't work for scalix.

You should get clarification from scalix directly.
