omldapsync issues

Postby clangdon » Tue Jan 10, 2006 10:43 pm

I'm having a great deal of difficulty in setting up the Sync agreement.
I can not retrieve anything from the Exchange 2000 server, I always get a connection refused. I created a user local to the Exhcange server and granted it admin rights in Exchange. I've also tried a domain admin account that is an Exchange admin as well.
I've tried these values in the EX_LOGON field.

Another issue I may be having is with the EX_BASE1.
What am I supposed to use here? "cn=Domain Users,dc=domain,dc=com"?

Some other questions are:
Why can't I use the Tomcat 5 that comes with Fedora Core4?
The installer finds it's directory just fine, but I can't login. Nor can I locate any setclasspath.sh to edit per other posting I've seen.
Why doesn't Scalix like JDK1.5?
Thanks.

Sounds like this is all related. First, we need to get your Tomcat / Java situation sorted out.

Please use the installer to install the Tomcat we ship with the product. This is a system requirement.

For a beginner and a test install I would recommend removing the installed Tomcat and then using the installer to install 5.0.28 that we ship. The same goes for the Java version. 1.5. is not supported, it needs to be 1.4.2x. Again, it is a system requirement.

Once that is sorted out, we can look at your ldapsync problem.

Cheers,

Sascha.

I've already installed the JDK1.42 as well as the tomcat that came with the eval CD. I couldn't get anything to run without doing these two things.
So I have a working installation of Scalix and now I'd like to get some of the integration/coexsistence testing started.
This is where I'm stuck currently.
