SMTP receive error - corrupt files

We have a new install of Scalix that is running well for most everything except when we are receiving large attachments.. pretty much anything ~5MB and above. We have no limits that I can find, but 2 things happen which are a bit curious to me:

1. Outside user sends large file, and gets a bounced message with the following (excerpts):

This message was created automatically by mail delivery software.

A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of
its recipients.

SMTP error from remote server after transfer of mail text:
host xxx.com [xxx.xx.xx.xxx]:
552 Requested mail action aborted: exceeded storage allocation

2. We actually receive the file, but the attachment is corrupt. It looks like a good file, but we can't open it.

I changed the smtpd.cfg file to DEBUG status, restarted the smtpd service then watched a big file come through... but after a while it spits out an EOF error and quits.

I can't find any reference to a default size limitation anywhere... is there one by default that I can change? If I can't change it, is there any indication as to how big this limitation is?

The OM.UX 1402 is being generated because the sending side quit unexpectedly. The SMTP Relay acts as a pipe to the incoming unix gateway so, unless it receives a QUIT or RSET SMTP command, any loss of connection needs to be reported as an error.

Can you post the EOF error from the debug log ?

I don't see an end 'failure' in the file other than this line:

Cli 1553/1 failed: EOF

..which is sprinkled throughout the file, but I don't see another error in there about this email.
