We have done about 30 Scalix installation from which 10 are running today. But we really need some help on this one. Here is our telnet communication...

Telnet'ing from scalix server to it self works. Telnet'ing from the VMWare server on which the Scalix runs works. Telnet'ing from a Windows 2003 server also running on the VMWare server works. Telnet'ing from remote pc with vpn access (=same 192.168.1.xxx range) does not work. Telnet'ing from the internet does not work. So far so good... but redirecting port 25 to the Windows 2003 server (running a temporary mail server) works.

One thing I should tell is... that I seem to remember, that the machines are connected through a small zyxel 8 port mini switch, which has 3 QoS ports. Can this really be the problem? I mean QoS is not smtp proxy. Heeeeeeeelp!

Just replaced the QoS switch. This didn't change anything. Any clues anyone?

Forget about it...
It was my new upgraded antivirus program that proxied my telnet communication. I disabled my antivirus and everything is back to normal.
