Postby Mysterious » Wed Jan 16, 2008 6:21 am

Hi,

Email from my Scalix Server are permanently rejected. Seems liek my scalix-server doesn´t show his correct name to the AOL-Mailserver.

This is the header code from an message send out by scalix.

Code: Select all

Return-Path: <a.fischer@scalixdomain.de>
Received: from scalix.mydomain (localhost.localdomain [127.0.0.1])
   by scalix.mydomain (8.13.8/8.13.8) with ESMTP id m0G9uvmq007878
   for <a.kraemer@mydomain>; Wed, 16 Jan 2008 10:56:58 +0100
Received: from scalix.scalixdomain.de (pd907f711.dip0.t-ipconnect.de [217.7.247.17])
by scalix.mydomain (Scalix SMTP Relay 11.3.0.11339)

The reverse dns entry is set up correctly. Seems to me the problem ist the localhost.localdomain part which i marked bold.
Could someone tell me how i could change this? The Server is running with an integrated spamassasin filter .

Hi

This is not an internal DNS issue, rather it is an external issue.
You need to ask your ISP to set reverse DNS to your external domain name

Mike
