Disabling "Scalix password authentication"

Postby mrezzonico » Sun Jan 06, 2008 9:01 am

Hi all,

as described in the wiki (http://www.scalix.com/wiki/index.php?ti ... management)
I have configured LDAP authentication. All is ok.
I have the following question:
How can I disable "Scalix password authentication" (authentication is done only with LDAP) ?

Thanks for any help. Miche

You will need to retain it for at least the sxadmin (probably) and sxqueryadmin (definitely) users.

But if you want to do it, remove the om_auth section in the PAM files.

Hi Valerion,

thanks for your reply.

I have deleted the line "auth sufficient om_auth use_first_pass" in the files ual.remote, pamcheck, smtpd.auth, pop3 (but not in the file omslapdeng).

I can log into sac with sxadmin and the athentication in webmail is done with LDAP.

I hope this is correct ...

Thanks Miche

If everything works then it sounds fine to me as well. Glad you got it sorted out.
