Password expire.. no notice

When passwords expire the following provide NO NOTICE!

1) Sxadmin.. how is this even possible?
2) Evolution connector
3) any pop3/imap device... but really there's no facility to notify the user

There is a script someone wrote and placed in the wiki to do this.
