sxadmin mailbox filling up

Postby bguerreiro » Mon Dec 03, 2007 8:44 am

Hi all.
From what I could see, the administrator account receives a copy of all mail messages.
Can i this behavior be changed/disabled?
Besides the privacy issues, this causes the mailbox to fill up pretty quickly.

TIA.

Normally this is not the case (not on a clean install, at least). Is there an archive BCC configured? Maybe some server-side rules in each mailbox?

Argh,
Sorry for the noise.
What I meant is that, every messages that fails for whatever reason generates a copy to the administrator mailbox.

Once again, sorry for the deficient info.
BRGDS.

Ah, that's true, yes.

Personally I would leave it as is, but regularly (via cron) run a omtidyu on the mailbox to delete messages older than a certain date. That way you can still look there if someone sends you a question about non-delivered mails, and it won't get out of hand.

If that becomes as issue, because you use that mailbox for other things, create a mailbox to dump the messages...ie

omaddu -n "Error Manager/mailnode".....etc
omconfenu -n "error manager"
