License problem

Postby Valerion » Tue Oct 30, 2007 10:39 am

After upgrading a server from RHEL3 to RHEL5 (11.0.4 to 11.2.0), we found that our client can no longer create Premium users on one server. After checking the license we got the following:

Code: Select all

#sxlicense -u

   Scalix License Usage

Local Usage

  Premium Users:     541

  Standard Users:      121

  Premium Users:     542

  Standard Users:      121

Server2

  Premium Users:     84

  Standard Users:      35

Totals

  Premium Users:     1167

  Standard Users:      277

The client only has a 750 user license, and for some reason server1 counts the mailboxes twice. I have verified the information on server2, and it also displays 1167 users.

A omshowu -m all gives a total of 662 users (541 + 121).

Has anyone experienced this kind of issue before? I have already tried a license reload, as well as a restart on both servers.

Never seen that one before. But I'd recommend a quick shot to support. If nothing else, they'll be able to issue a temporary license to get the additional users created.

Nice client, BTW...

Kev.
