ClamAV is not integrated at all

Postby itexxion » Tue Oct 23, 2007 8:18 pm

After my first succesful installation of Scalix I try to setup a virsusscanner, ClamAV.

The installation is performed on SuSe 10.2 and is working fine except the virusscanner.

Somehow it seems that Scalix doesn't try at all to call ClamAV and perform some scanning.

I used the Scalix docs for the AV setup and also tried the answers in this forum, but without result.

- /var/opt/scalix/m1/s/rules/omvscan.map (-r-xr-xr-x 1 root root) is there, copied....
- /var/opt/scalix/m1/s/sys/omvscan.cfg (-r--r--r-- 1 scalix scalix) is there, copied....
- /var/opt/scalix/m1/s/rules/ALL-ROUTES.VIR (-r-xr-xr-x 1 root root) contents as below:

VIRUS-FOUND=1 VIRUS-UNCLEANED=1 ACTION=DISCARD<eol>
VIRUS-FOUND=1 VIRUS-UNCLEANED=0 ACTION=ALLOW<eol>
VIRUS-FOUND=0 ACTION=ALLOW<eol>

-------------------------------------

Restarted the 'router' and tested, but virusses are still passing trough.

~logs/fatal shows nothing

The 'clamd' deamon is runnig:

16510 pts/1 S+ 0:00 \_ grep clam
13893 ? Ss 0:00 /usr/bin/freshclam -d
16305 ? S 0:01 /usr/sbin/clamd

Also a the command: /usr/bin/clamdscan EICAR.COM can be succesfully perfomed. ClamAV show that the file has a virus.

Could somebody help me to solve this problem? It seems that Scalix doesn't scan (mapper problem?). Also restarted the Scalix server once, without any succes on this problem.

~/logs/fatal shows no errors related to this problem

Thanks in advance......

Solved

The problem was the syntax in ALL-ROUTES.VIR

I read the log not correct. The ~logs/fatal doesn't show anything, but the 'router' logs shows that there are problems with the ALL-ROUTES.VIR file.

See you around...
