Licence key upgrade

I've just got a new licence for additional users and have tried installing the key through sac. I'm not sure if this is a bug or not but after clicking add licence and pasting the text in, the box dissapears and nothing happens, the new licence isn't listed. A new cumulative-1.lic file appeared in the LicenceKeys folder but I couldn't add new premium users.

To get it to work, I had to delete the original key and add the new one in which seems wrong to me and I must admit was a bit hairy when I did it, but it did work.

Is this a bug or an undocumented process?

I don't think it's a bug (at least not a general one) since just last week I did the same process and it all worked out good. I didn't get any fancy confirmation but the license listing in SAC showed up my new license (with the new LVID date). However we didn't add any new licenses, just extended the LVID period.
