Postby dougp23 » Tue Sep 25, 2007 10:47 am

Hey everyone.

So my scalix server is serving up domain scalix.com
I want to setup a maillist, people@scalix.com and the users who should get email, when someone emails people@scalix.com are:
josh@gmail.com
karen_y77@yahoo.com
billg@microsoft.com
erica@msn.com

How would I do this? Can it be done??

Hi Doug,

you'll want to add those people as Internet Users in SAC. An internet user is basically a contact that can then be added to a group.

When you've created then, create a group on the next tab, give it an email address, add the users, and you should be set to go!

What would the om syntax for adding an Internet user from the command line be?

Is there a switch to keep the entry out of the address book and/or to include the contact info--like in SAC? Also, how can I add this person to an existing group from the CLI?

of course! sac just sets that attribute.

try setting it in sac and then doing an omsearch on the user with the special parameter "-m @ALL-ATTR" which will show you all attributes. You should see how it works immediately.

Hmmm... Would that be "Ex-CDA-DIRECTORY=E"?

I see where I can use omaddpdln to add the user to a group (or PDL), so I will hammer on that a bit.

What's weird with the group issue is that "omshowpdln -l External" displays the users I added to the "External" group when creating the Internet users in SAC, but now SAC does not show them as being part of that group.
