Warning: Cannot use HostStatusDirectory = .hoststat: Permiss

Hi all,


in case I want to flush sendmail -q -v, i got the error

Warning: Cannot use HostStatusDirectory = .hoststat: Permission denied


I think, that is a file permission problem. Any idea to solve?

Ok, I found the solution. However the rights on the control socker werer wrong. the socket had executable rights..... changing this, it solved the problem.

did you simply change the .hoststat dir to non-executable permissions?

edit: i changed permissions to 700 of the .hoststat dir defined in sendmail.cf
