Problems during Trial-Version: The evalution period expired

Postby fitschen » Wed Aug 22, 2007 10:09 am

Hello,

I Just Download the Trial-Version. Its the first time i installed Scalix.
With the Installation-Script everything works fine, and all thems to be done.

I Used SuSe Linux 10.1

After installing all Services seems to work, i can log on into the sac and create some users.

But when i guess to log in the Webmail acces with any user i got the messages :
"The evalution period for this time-limited product has expired"

I find a lot hints in the Forum but nothing seems to help. Hope someone can help because we want to test Scalix for our company.

1) Check that you are using the same version for server and client (eg. 11.1.0)
2) Check that the user is enabled for SWA in SAC

Have a look in the SWA logs (/var/opt/scalix/??/tomcat/logs) and see if you can spot any errors. It may also be worthwhile to do a omshowlog -e to see if there are any errors in there.

Can you log in with a different IMAP client (Thunderbird or Outlook Express)?

The logs look normal. I wonder if it could be SWA misbehaving? Or failed to install correctly?

Try uninstalling the web components. I would try uninstalling everything except for Scalix server, then making sure /var/opt/scalix/?? only contains the "s" directory, then re-installing all the components and rebooting the machine.

Ok i don't know why the first install doesn't work, but now all things are fine...

Is there a possibility to test the Outlook Connector?

It is available in the same spot you downloaded the server software from, just lower down on the page, if you got the Community Edition.

For the Enterprise edition it is included in the download.
