Lowering Memory Usage

Postby bulldozering » Tue Aug 07, 2007 3:28 pm

I just installed Scalix and it was super easy. This is much easier installing than Zimbra which I could never complete successfully.

Anyways I'm a one person company and I just needed and email server that was easy to setup so this does the trick. I have about 10 email addresses from about 10 domains and don't need anything for Outlook, web messaging, etc.

I'm wondering if there is a way to lower my memory footprint. All I need is it to send and receive Pop emails.

Can I disable certain things to lower CPU usage?

The resource utilisation of Scalix should correspond to the load, i.e. in your case not much.

What does 'top' say?

I'm not sure which is accurate, in Webmin under System memory I'm seeing:

Real memory: 495.91 MB total / 194.02 MB free Swap space: 988.36 MB total / 983.42 MB free
