Config and data migration from 10.0.2 to 11.1.0

I am running community 10.0.2 in production. We are having hardware problems with the server. I have just completed a build of the new 11.1.0 release, and all is working fine.

I need some guidance, however, on a couple items. First, how do I go about migrating the omldapsync agreements and config from the old, can it just be copied?

Secondly, what is the best method for migrating the existing user data to the new server from the old version server?

Hi,

We had our upgrade from 10.0.1 to 11.0.3 done by a local Scalix rep and from this age I remember that the sync config cannot be just copied over and used, there are some fields changed with v11 and it requires a rewrite of the script. Sorry I cannot help further with the details, but perhaps others will?

I think the way to go with the user data migration would be to have a backup (with all permissions preserved, e.g. use GNU tar to create the archive) of /var/opt/scalix from the v10 on the new server before starting the installation of v11. The installer should detect the existing mailstore and convert the data into the new format. I don't know if it's possible any other way, but leave room for Scalix/others to comment on this one?
