Sendmail Issues

Hi,

Sorry if this issue has already been resolved, i have been ubable to locate a fix for it at this stage....

In my Sendmail maillog for all incoming emails, they apear to be processed twice, even when i turn the SPAM MILTER off - See below extract from the log...

Is this standard?

The other issue i have, is when an email is sent to an invalid email address on the local domain (ie XYZ@DOMAIN.COM) the message seems get cought in a loop - See the below extract.....

It seems to be routing back into sendmail and not just bouncing the email????

Hi,

I can't help with the first issue, but can help with the second issue. If using SMTPD as the front-end server, ensure the following is true:

1. Add your domains to /etc/local-host-names, one per line.
2. Ensure that smtpd.cfg contains like this:

relay accept .domain1.com
relay accept .domain2.com

As well as your IP addresses etc.

This is the only way I have got this to work - SMTPD will give the 5xx response back from Sendmail if the user is unknown.
