Error Manager

Postby dteger » Fri May 25, 2007 4:24 pm

Not sure if this is the right forum but here is my issue.

I have users that send to Dave Teger Sometimes they receive an error.

***************
David Teger / mxlx01p, luthresearch/CN=David Teger

because: 'Recipient name not found at destination' [OM 9300]
Similar name(s) known at the point of failure:
Dave Teger / mxlx01p, luthresearch/CN=Dave Teger

The message was forwarded to the local Error Manager:
sxadmin / mxlx01p, luthresearch/CN=sxadmin
**************
My initial thought was probably the same as yours - you aren't sending to Dave, you are sending to David. However I receive the message they had sent plus I also see in their sent items the email addressee appears as Dave Teger.

When my ID was initially created my name was put in incorrectly as David. Before I ever used the ID it was changed. I believe there is something lingering from the creation of my ID but I am unable to find it.

Any suggestions as to an OM tool to view into the X.400 Names or address book that could give light to what may be happening?

Thanks

Dave

You could do a

Code: Select all

omsearch -s | grep Teger
to see all entries with Teger in it. That might help to narrow down which entry it is related to.
