Different distro installation

Postby _Neo__ » Wed May 23, 2007 7:35 pm

Hi, I would like to know if there is a way to ignore the "unsupported OS release" error, i've discovered that scalix runs normally on Fedora 6 after i updated the system from a fedora 5, it would be much easier and faster if it would simple allow us to chose to ignore that and fix problems later (with i didn't had to)

sorry non-native english speaker here

Yes, change the contents of /etc/redhat-release to match what you find on an FC5 system.

We're considering adding an option to the installer to cover these cases, but for now
the redhat-release hack works.

Actually the code to add the os version override feature to the installer was committed
today, so it'll be in the next release.
