Subscription from iCal fails

Postby seitwerk » Thu May 24, 2007 4:11 am

I try to subscribe to a public Scalix Calender via iCal but it fails. I use this link:

http://SCALIXSERVER/api/USERNAME@DOMAIN ... utput=ical

When I enter it in iCal, it asks me for me username and password, adterwards it says that it couldn't find a calender. When i open the URL in Safari it downloads an .ifb (??) File which i can import to iCal after renaming it to .ics .

The Subscribtion to my private Scalix Calender (http://SCALIXSERVER/api/USERNAME@DOMAIN ... utput=ical) works fine.

We have noticed this as well. Personal Calendar subscriptions work just fine. Also, when first subscribed, a public calendar will work fine. However, once you close iCal and open it again, all foreign Calendars (not native to your own inbox) have their addresses and authentication strings munged.

This seems to currently be a fault of iCal, and not of Scalix. Check the string that the subscription is pulling from after you close and reopen iCal. Also check your authentication it is using. Chances are that it has broken the path or auth strings somewhere.
