Folder/Rule Creation

Postby hardaur » Sun May 20, 2007 3:52 pm

Hey all, I'm trying to run a migration from Exchange 2003 to Scallix 11. I've got just about everything set up, but trying to figure out one final problem.

I'm intending to use SpamAssassin's baysian filtering for spam control. In order to feed the system correctly, each user needs a "ham" and a "spam" folder (and a "possibly spam" in my case). I also need rules created for each user to put the spam where it belongs. The question is, how can I create these 3 folders and the rules for each user? Is there some config file with how to set up new users? Some command line option?

I've searched through the docs, howtos, and forums and am very surprised to not find anything about this (unless I overlooked something, of course). I know I could use Public folders, but that's not an acceptable option as folks aren't going to be willing to feed ham to a public folder. Any help is much appreciated.

Hi!

I would suggest you to use sxaa utility to create server-side rules for users from command
line. Find it at:
http://www.scalix.com/wiki/index.php?ti ... _with_sxaa
Make sure you go through its readme documentation to understand how to use it.

sxaa would create folder if its not found in the mailbox.

Thanks,
Subir
