can't create index (scalix 11.0.4)

hi Subir, thanks again for ur response.

I've just compared the configuration with the running japanese server, there is no difference in the file swa.properties.

in file sis.properties at the running japanese server, these are the only different values:

index.max.queue.size=200
search.max.results=200


I have tried ur suggestion but still got no luck.. is there any other thing that perhaps can be checked?

by the way, the indexes are put in directory /var/opt/scalix/??/indexes, aren't they? but there is no directory or files inside that directory. there are many files in /var/opt/scalix/??/s/indexwork.

Check the following bug, where SWA search did not work with Locale set to German,
however this has been resolved:
http://bugzilla.scalix.com/show_bug.cgi?id=14325
make sure that you check out the locale settings mentioned in the bug comments.

Try this to get around this:

shut down the scalix server
remove all the files in ~/indexwork (/var/opt/scalix/??/s/indexwork)
restart the server
run sxmkindex

ok, I gave it another try.
I've put everythinig on port 80 and now when I run sxmkindex -r 00:00:00 alexandru I get in logs INFO [TP-Processor92] [InternalAdminServlet.doGet:65] Index for userID 0d500000b60e5464-4.701.43.98 does not exist

So... the port really mattered??? What do I do now??

Hi!

Try restarting indexer, followed by recreating index.
To stop the indexer:
/opt/scalix/bin/omshutdm -s 35 -p -d 0
start the indexer
/opt/scalix/bin/indexer

Recreate Index:
sxmkindex -r 00:00:00

and for the user with the index created (0d500000b60e5464-4.701.43.98) search still is not working and in /var/opt/scalix/rs/indexes/0d500000b60e5464-4.701.43.98 folder I get only one file .. segments and e folder ref with the same file
