Moving Scalix Mail Store

Hi,

I hope anyone can assits me, I have run out of disk space and I need to move the Scalix mail store to another partition but I have no idea how to do this.

Can anyone tell me if this is possible and if so what do I need to do.

I have done this between 2 servers before. but same server should be easy

I would first off mount the new partion to a dir lets call it /newpart

shut down scalix services

Now do an rsync from /var/opt/scalix to /newpart

Now umount /newpart and mount that partition to /var/opt/scalix

Should be good to go.

Note about rsync though.. you will need to research the man pages because i don't rember what switch it is that will allow you to keep sym and hard links. You just want to cp the dir just the way that it is. i think when i did mine between 2 servers it was rsync -vrlHpE /var/opt/scalix/ /newpart you can also us -n to do a dry run.
