MAPI_MBC_ALLOWED in general.cfg - what is this for?

Postby deyjvu » Fri Apr 27, 2007 3:50 am

I've looked for this in the Admin Guide but it isn't listed or searching for it doesn't find it listed. Can someone advise what this does?

Hi!

Where have you seen this? What Scalix version you have?

Thanks,
Subir

This is in the general.cfg file on a 11.0.3 server.

Server is on V11.0.3And the client side is:

Outlook XP (2002).
Windows XP and 2003.
Outlook connector 11.0.3.29

Reason I ask about this is that they are having problems viewing a newsletter in Outlook, so I was checking what they had setup on their server to see if anything could be affecting what they see as when I view it, I can see parts of it and attachments are described as being of type .bin so can't be viewed. However I am on an older version of Scalix so not comparing same systems.

This is a configuration tweak usually per user (in /var/opt/scalix/??/s/sys/user.cfg/<scalix-uid>) by SAC if you de-select the "enable Smart-Cache" checkbox from the Advanced Tab.

Setting this to FALSE will disable Smart-Cache for the user or if set in general.cfg for all mailboxes unless overwritten through settings in user.cfg/...

It will probably not help for your originating problem.
