We did fix most of the reasons why Outlook crashes on exit. The crash at end of install was never fully understood and no work has been done on it yet.

did you use the setup.exe or the .msi method?

I logged another bug on this - if anybody has a reproducible scenario and can see what exactly triggers this, it would be helpful to remove it:

http://bugzilla.scalix.com/show_bug.cgi?id=15240

There is one known cause but that has an easy workaround

OK.

The next thing we explored is that by some of our installations the scalix rules wizard plugin have to be deaktiveated, ohterwises outloog scashes and hangs. Why? Also oher plugins for Outlook also does not work with the scalix connector 11.03

What version of Outlook is this?

Obviously a problem with our own plugin needs to be investigated. I cannot comment on other plugins in general, this largely depends on if they have been written cleanly to the MAPI spec. We are also continously working to improve compatibility with Outlook plugins, but in some cases it's beyond our control.

It would really be interesting to understand what the differences between your installations are so to get any idea of what might be causing this.

Assume those two different Outlook versions do not produce a pattern?

Hi,

we have 6 identical installs absolutely fresh install, same soft and hardware, but different behavior on the rules wizard plugin. For those PSs we are using Outlook 2003 SP2 11.65.68.6568 Basic Edition

But on some other PSs with Outlook 2003 SP2 11.8010.6568 Small Bus. Edition installed we have the same problems.

Well, pretty obviously they can't be completely identical, because otherwise this would not happen. :-) Software usually behaves in a deterministic manner, though the parameters could be complex.

Are these PCs all domain members? Do you use roaming profiles? How do you run the installation of Scalix Connect? How do you handle the required SID change after cloning the systems?
