Problem after restoring some folders

Postby christoph.lukas » Thu Mar 08, 2007 3:32 pm

Hi,

somehow the folders (foldernames translated from German):

'Calendar'
'Contacts'
'Waste Basket'
'Todos'
'Drafts'

got lost from one of our scalix accounts (probably by running sxmboximp yesterday).

I have now restored the above folders from our daily backup using sxmboximp.
The folder show up using sxmboxlist but:

* the folders neither do show up in an imap client
* nor do they show up in evolution
* additionally the account is no longer accessible via swa with the following logged to catalina.out:

Code: Select all

com.oddpost.soap.SoapFault: faultCode: SOAP-ENV:SERVER.FolderNotFoundException; faultString: can't open folder [#Scalix/Oddpost]

; detailName: FolderNotFoundException; detailMessage: can't open folder [#Scalix/Oddpost]

; detailDebugInfo: javax.mail.FolderNotFoundException: #Scalix/Oddpost not found

I already tried running omscan -Aafx.

Anything else I could try?

Thanks for any hints.
Christoph

Hi Christoph,

Can you use 'omcontain' to list the contents of the 'Filing Cabinet', and also to read the record of one of the problem folders, and post the results here, or PM them to me.

Cheers - Richard

Hi Richard,

I have already recreated the account and used sxmboxexp / imp to restore the data. So I am currently unable to provide the information you asked for.

Is there any omcontain password available to use with the Scalix community version? :)

The problems we had were caused by a strange behaviour of rules created by the sxaa tool. Is there anyone I could contact about that?

Thanks a lot for your help,
Christoph

I'm PM'ed you about using omcontain.

For your sxaa problem... have you described it another thread? Are you saying that rules created by sxaa caused to deletion of those folders. There is a known problem in this area that was introduced with Scalix 11, but it results in the creation of extra folders, not deletion:

Hi Richard,

thanks for your helpful response.

we had two different problems:

* Rules created by sxaa created additional folders exactly as described in #14810. We have been unable to delete these folders.

* Just after the creation of the faulty rules with sxaa we lost all the special folders from one account as described in my previous posting.

I am not sure if there was a correlation between this two problems.

#14810 is marked as fixed but is a fixed tfbrowse binary anywhere available?

Thanks again,
Christoph
