Hi florian,

yes - I have been through the faq, however I did review the cofiguration files again. Everything seems consistent with what is required. I just logged into sac, seelected a user and "advanced" tab - I then ran the index process by selecting "Reindex". This immediately gave results with the search function now working. It is starange as I have also run the command line index process several times.

The mobile client is still regstering "Invalid Username or Password" for a user/pass that functions correclty in the web client. Both log files "scalix-mobile.log" and "scalix-api.log" are empty.

when you did the reindex through the command line, did you call sxmkindex with the -r 0 option? if not, this explains it.

Florian,

history | grep sxmkindex
1027 sxmkindex username

obviously missing cmd line switches .... this is the bit where I admit I should have looked at sxmindex more carefully ...

have you disabled http completely or is this just a firewall between your client system and the server.

you may not disable http completely - software running on the scalix server uses http communication internally to connect various bits and pieces together. Eg, the mobile web client is talking to the messaging services layer through http to access exactly THIS api functionality.
