Why not just use RH? It's more common, and it's better supported. I'm just not sure what the selling feature for Oracle is.
Scalix is a perfect example. Supported on RH, but not on Oracle. Will it run, sure, and it'll run on CentOS too. But CentOS is free, and RH is officially supported. What does Oracle have going for it?
I'd go with (k)ubuntu first, if you're looking for a kinda supported disto. At least they have a thriving community. For corporate production, I think (and it pains me to not mention Novell) it's a mistake to go with anything except RedHat right now.
My personal gut feel is that as much as Suse is a great distro, Novell is starting on the path of following (ironically) SCO. They will have some temporary press, much of it negative, but the "community" will abandon them. And they will die for it. Jeremy Allison summed it up nicely in his speech on why he left.
