Upgrading from Scalix 10 to Scalix 11 on another server

Hi,

We've been evaluating Scalix 10 Community Edition on a temporary server, but now we want to upgrade to Scalix 11 on a different server.

Is there a way to import all the accounts, groups, mail, calendar data, and settings from our Scalix 10 installation to the Scalix 11 installation on the new server?

Hi Steve,

This is surely possible,
1. take a tar of the folder /var/opt/scalix, preserving the ownership, permissions and order, 2. create a user scalix with same userid on the target machine,
3. untar the file you took on test machine and untar on target machine,
4. Run the installer for Scalix 11, and choose upgrade.

This should restore the complete user mailstore on the target machine.
