We have just set up SSL for out server:
place all cert and key in the proper location

add path to the conector
add path to apache conf file

then it should work

Thank you for the replies. I will take these to heart and try them. You know, it's difficult to decide what I need to understand in setting up ssl because it is not clear cut when apache ends and tomcat begins. Again, no clear cut 1,2,3 on how this works. Not to the newbie with scalix.

One thing that might be getting you stuck here is forgetting to replace the word instance with the name of your mail node. All these configuration examples will work if properly installed. However, if you just cut and paste what is shown here, without replacing instance, you'll still get the 404's (unless your server happens to be called instance....) because none of the files will get included by the configuration directives when Apache loads.
