Webmail not sorting by date

Postby mglenney » Thu Dec 14, 2006 9:20 pm

When I open up webmail my inbox isn't sorted by date though there's a down arrow on the "Received" column header indicating it's supposed to be sorted in desending order. I recently copied the messages that are there from another server. That may or may not have something to do with it.

If I click on the "Received" column header the arrow changes to up and the messages are sorted (ascending). Click it again, the arrow changes and they are sorted the way I want. I just don't want to have to click twice to resort them every time I log on.

Anyone know what might be causing this and, ever better, how to fix it?

Thanks,

MG

I have the same exact issue. I've installed Scalix 11 RC2, and migrated two users from an exchange server using pst files. The web interface doesn't appear to sort by date properly, but the outlook scalix plugin appears to be ok.

I could post a snap shot if some would like to see visually what we mean.

Scalix still rocks!

Thanks,
Jim

Scalix 11 RC2:

This is an issue I have spent a lot of time with - for migration purposes. It only seems to affect the Inbox and Sent Items folders (for me). After messing around, I found a way to fix this:

Backup the PST file.

Create two new folders in the PST file: InboxOld and SentOld.

Move the messages from the Inbox of the PST to InboxOld in the PST. Move the messages from Sent Items of the PST to SentOld in the PST.

Copy the InboxOld and SentOld folders to the Scalix server through the Outlook interface.

Open webmail and check those folders - make sure all dates look correct. If they are, move the messages into the proper folder using the webmail client. Select all messages in InboxOld and drag them into the Inbox using the webmail client. Do the same with SentOld (into Sent Items). Delete the InboxOld and SentOld folders.

Using this method, all dates sort the same in both webmail and the Outlook client.
