Mandriva Install

After seeing Scalix at the Linux Expo Olympia, I thought ...yes this what I have been looking for to deploy at our school. Imagine my disappointment when find out that it will only install on a couple of Distros!!! I always thought that apps were installed on the OS..... not the other way round!

Having said that, I would still like very much to use this system. My current email server is a Mandriva box. Obviously I do not want to take down and reinstall my production email server. Has anyone managed to the Scalix running on a Mandriva system? If so please let me know.

PS Maybe the makers of Scalix could / should broaden their Distro horizons

Maybe we could try to collaboratively follow the "Manual Installation" page on the Wiki (and cross-post the findings on the Mandriva forum)?
