Our system is current a active passive cluster system with direct attached HP smart storage in RAID5.

The company wants to use SAN as the storage. Is it possible to use it on a

What is possible system archectiture of scalix is SAN in A-P cluster system????

You'll need to use something like Redhat Cluster Suite in order to make sure that the two nodes do not try to access the SAN at the same time. We have two nodes in an Active-Passive config using an EMC SAN and Cluster Suite.

We also do not recommend RAID5 as that is known to cause performance issues.

RAID 1+0 is our best practice recommendation.

How is the performance of yr Scalix-SAN Active-passive system.

Actually. i am not familar with SAN.
If it is ok: Could you provide me with more info on the archectiture of scalix - SAN system?
Is there anything i should really pay attention to if i decide to use SAN??

With Best Regards
