Upgrade Problem

Postby wheelc » Sat Sep 02, 2006 5:38 am

Hello All,

I have moved my current working Scalix 9.4.2 /var/opt/scalix directory to a new Fedora FC4 installation and upgraded to Scalix 10. The installation ran fine detected that a mailstore existed and upgraded accordingly.

However I can not start webmail or sac following the installation.

I have checked that apache is running ok.

I have checked the logs in $TOMCAT_HOME/logs and a scalix-swa....log does not even exist.

Does anybody have any pointers?

Cheers

Chris.

What URL are you using ?

Between 9.4 and 10, we started to use mod_jk through Apache and so the URL changed to remove :8080

Cheers

I am using http://localhost/webmail & http://localhost/sac I have read all the instructions and can not see what the issue is. I found this issue whilst going through the suggested diagnostics.

This is indicative of a mod_jk problem. Check the mod_jk logs under /var/log/httpd/

Chances are, you're going to see an error 13 somewhere which usually means you do not have selinux disaled as per the release notes.

Hi Dave, This worked. Thanks and apologies for missing that one.... Is there anything else I have to look out for with an upgrade from 9.4.2 to 10?

Cheers

Chris.
