PC <-> Host protocol error

While investigating an strange empty-attachement problem, I saw this line showing up in the logs quote a few times:

[OM 9616] LAN FT - PC<->Host protocol error


Any idea what these can be, or what they are caused by, or what I need to do to find more information about them?

What client are you using for this to happen.

Whenever I've seen this error, it usually points to network issues at a higher level than Scalix.

Whenever I've seen this error, it usually points to network issues at a higher level than Scalix.

The clients are using Scalix Connector (the one from 10.0.1) and Microsoft Outlook 2003 with the latest patches on it.
