MIME errors in SWA

Postby wdthurman » Fri Jul 07, 2006 2:55 pm

I have 2 users that are getting the following errors while using SWA. Mailbox appears ok while using Outlook. Only see problem with SWA. Problem disappears and then reappears at different times. Ideas anyone???

ERROR:
Scalix Web Access could not correctly parse this message because it is not a valid MIME e-mail message.
Contact the sender and have them fix their mail application (which is sending out the invalid MIME message.)
Mime Error:
Lost folder connection to server

When that happens, it usually means that the underlying IMAP connection died. There should be something logged in the fatal file on the server.

Cheers

Edited to remove domain names:

I have a user with the same problem. Here's the fatal log:

I would like to see the source of this message. If you could access this account with Thunderbird, highlight the message, hit ctrl+u, and send the source to support at scalix dot com to my attention I'll let you know what I find.

Thanks,
Don

Unfortunately the message disappeared and the user's SWA retuned to normal before I could retrieve the message. If this happens again I'll grab the message and let you know.

I'm also getting a similar error - which causes Thunderbird to give an error: The current command did not succeed. The mail server responded: some of the requested messages no longer exist.

Below is the error found in omshowlog (with the location edited out):
