Does anyone here know of a service that integrates like Notify into Scalix to support Blackberry's in the UK?

I am not to clued up yet on the technicalities of Notify. I assume that Notify need to have an agreement with the operator who operates the GSM/GPRS/et. al. network in the small Island that I am on?
How does the Notify Software that would be located in our offices communicate with the Blackberry's if not through a weblink to a telecoms operator that services our area who would then push and communicate with the Blackberry's and so forth?
Should communications with the blackberry devices just be imagined as the internet rather than going over wireless telecoms networks?
Is there a Linux version of the services that Notify provides available from another company?
I have requested via email to Notify a similar request for information. I will post suitable extracts from the response here for edification for others who may look for the information here. The wireless carrier we are covered by is not listed on the Notify website.

the Blackberry integration is done with a piece of software from a company called Notify. They provide you with connectivity into the BB cloud. Please contact Notify ( http://www.notifylink.com ) for further information.

A low bar of entry solution could be to get a six-pack of T-Mobile Blackberry's with a data plan. T-Mobile offers a push mail account that your Scalix server can use, too. So you can have autoforward on your mailbox to the T-Mobile account which will then show up on the device. This is the way I am using it without a problem. Note this of course is not limited to T-Mobile, but I found them to have the best offer at the time. Things may have changed.
Not sure if they cover Guernsey, but I believe so.
