btisdall..

Let me point out a couple of things..

First.. the "easiest" thing to do would be to delete the users on Scalix who are still using the legacy mail server. Then readd these users as Internet Users instead of Scalix users. Their internet address would be John.Doe@mylegacydomain.com. This would serve 1) all users show up in GAL of Scalix server and 2) there is no need for a fwd rule (ala sxaa) because internet users dont have mailboxes anyway (actaully quite impossible).

Second. Given the question that ggreenaway was asking was forwarding from Scalix users that were already setup, my feeling is that sxaa is definalty the answer since it is cmdline driven, thus can easily be scripped. However, your observations are correct in that any new "users" added to the Scalix server would need to have an sxaa forward rule setup and any migrated user (to Scalix) would need the rule deleted.

In conclusion, i refer back to my first point. If the goal is to have two mailservers (a legacy server and Scalix) share an MX record AND have the GAL on scalix reflect ALL users on BOTH systems, then users on the legacy server should simply be defined as Internet Users, then there is no need for any fwd'ing rules. When you migrate a user, all you do is delete them as an Internet User and add them as a regular (Premium or Limited) user and you are done.

Hope that helps.. Let me know if im still missing something.

Darrell
