clamav user mystery

I have an interesting problem. Every 2-3 weeks my clamav user "vscan" switches from the "scalix" group back to to the "vscan" group thereby shutting down the service router because clamav can't scan Scalix files.

Anyone have any idea what is changing this user group?

I do have auto updates enabled on the server which is SUSE OSS 10.

If the updates are changing the user group of "vscan" is there any way to stop them from doing doing that?

Hi Bob,

We've seen similar problem with SuSE. The best workaround is to edit your /etc/passwd file and change the group ID in there for the vscan user to be the same as the Scalix group ID.
