Is there a reason why you need an earlier version ?

Cheers

I was wondering if there was a release of the connector between 10.0.0.352 and 11.0.1.

For Scalix 10, we do not make separate Connector downloads available, so you will have to download a full Scalix 10.0.5 Community Edition package and extract the connector from there. If you are running Scalix 10, I would also recommend upgrading the server at the same time as 10.0.5 contains a number of pretty relevant bug fixes. See the release Notes for detail.

For Scalix 11, we do not make older versions of either connector of software than 11.0.3 available anymore. The reason is that later versions contain bug fixes and are tested and known through customer feedback to produce much more favourable results and have higher stability than earlier versions. We do want everyone moving to the latest Scalix 11 connector as quickly as possible.

Cheers,
Florian.

(EDIT - it seems that turning smartcache off helps a little)

I am trying 11.0.3 connector now - it is proving to utterly unusable here. I cant deploy it.

Am experiancing what is described in this post:

viewtopic.php?p=31609#31609

I thought perhaps upgrading to 11.0.3 server from 11.0.1 server would enable connector 11.0.3 to function - there is clearly something that I am doing wrong - perhaps something to do with smartcache? Or Perhaps Outlook2000 is clearly not supported anymore?

As a side note, it turns out 10.0.0.366 is not as stable as 10.0.0.352, since I get many sxsxmapi32.dll errors / outlook crashes.

I would really like to get behind this issue as it hasn't been seen in our testing. There are a number of limitations of OL2000 support with Scalix 11, but only w/rgds to the new features in 11 such as Internationalization. SmartCache should work.

Do you also see these effects on a "clean" PC, i.e. fresh install of Win XPSP2 + OL2000 + Recommended OL/Officer ServicePacks + ScalixConnect, i..e. no other applications installed?

I believe we can understand and possibly fix it once it becomes reproducible for us in-house.

If you are a commercial customer and have available support incidents, I would also encourage you to open a case with Scalix Support in parallel.

Thx,
Florian.

It seems most of the critical issues have gone now.

Thanks. It would be great if you could retest/clarify which particular element removed the issue, i.e.

- cache vs. non cache
- reinstalling office
- office premium vs. office standard
- service pack level

Thanks,
Florian.

Currently there is not a spare PC here to do this sort of extensive testing - in a few weeks they will arrive.

Can you confirm that Outlook2000 actually works with 11.0.3 server and connector on XPSP2?

In my experience, Outlook 2000 with the newest Scalix 11 connector still isn't stable.

I've posted my troubles allready in this topic: http://www.scalix.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=5518&highlight=

With Outlook 2003 it is much more stable, although I still get some crashes from time to time.
