Imap problem

I seem to have a problem when I try to access my scalix mail via IMAP.
The IMAP client can retrieve the subject headings but not the email message.

This seems to happen with all clients that try to get the mail.

Any ideas?

I might add, that when I check the mail with outlook using the outlook connector it works fine?

still not luck with IMAP or webmail client. Help needed

I just rebooted the server and unfortunately still have the same problem.
It seems that all users that are using the web client or IMAP are affected by this problem. Strangely enough, the outlook users are OK. When I use Outlook (and the outlook connector) it appears OK, this is even with the accounts that fail with IMAP behave OK with Outlook.

I'm becoming desperate for ideas here.
Has anyone got any suggestions?

Here are the logs after I rebooted the whole server and tried to check the emails via the web client.

The email messages subjects appear ok in the client, but 'none' of the email messages contents can be displayed.

Hi tdelov

It looks as though there is something about your mailbox that is causing the IMAP server to crash.

What version of Scalix are you running?
If you are running Scalix 11 then one thing that you can try is to remove the cache that the IMAP server uses and let it rebuild it. The way to do this is described in various other threads, for example: viewtopic.php?t=7164

If removing the IMAP cache does not fix the problem then PM me and we can talk about isolatiing the problem message for further investigation.

I just tired the as suggested on that link. I even went a step further and removed "all" the imap-cache files from "all" the users. Still no luck.

I ran a omscan utility and it suggested that there were a lot of errors related to ownership of files. Should I make the suggested changes?
The ownership of the newly created imap-cache files all reverted back to numeric user id?
The imap-cache folders all have numeric id's too.

The ownership is OK, and the ERRORs in the log are not related to your IMAP problem.
I've PM'ed you about getting hold of the message that is giving you problems so that I can take a lool at it,

I have not used omcontain before.
I'm not sure how to get it to show anything.
If I just run it normally I get the start up message but not much else.

Only its on an account that I dont really want to mess with unless I really have to.
